The contraceptive implant is a highly effective, safe, and long-acting contraceptive method that has been shown to be acceptable to women worldwide. FHI leads an effort to ensure the safe and sustainable introduction of Sino-implant (II) in resource-constrained countries in coordination with the manufacturer, distributors, donors and other partners. The August 2010 edition of the quarterly newsletter includes information about quality assurance, product registration, current research, resources and more.
