The Contraceptive Social Marketing Statistics (CSM) Report aggregates sales data from social marketing organizations (SMOs) operating around the globe to expand access to critical family planning commodities and safe abortion supplies. Since 1991, the CSM Report has been an important tool in supplementing public health data by providing unique insights into SMOs’ contributions to global SRH markets.
After over 30 years of tremendous work on compiling social marketing statistics, DKT International has handed over the development and publication of the CSM Report to RHSC. RHSC assumes this responsibility with excitement and an eagerness to engage members around the best way to maintain the landmarks of previous editions of the report, while also looking for opportunities to broaden the impact of the report in the future. To do this, RHSC—guided by a multisectoral Advisory Group—has been implementing a user-informed design process and will continue to in the year ahead, aimed at better understanding the ways in which members would like to see the report adapted, expanded, or clarified in the future.
