How to use the data

There are 3 tabs, each showing different data (see descriptions below). On each tab, use the drop-down menus at the top of the screen to select the countries, funders, methods, and timeframe you want to include in your graph. More information about each of these variables can be found on the  ‘About the data’ page. Data will be presented visually and as a data table. Follow the links below to take you to the tab you’re interested in.

To export the data, highlight the relevant cells in the data table (or the relevant sections of the graph), hover the cursor over the cells or section and you will be given a number of options including ‘View data’. From there you can download either the summary data or the full data as an Excel file.

To copy the dashboard as an image or a pdf, select the ‘download’ icon at the bottom right of the screen.

Note: when looking at all contraceptive methods, the quantity of condoms heavily outweighs all other methods and can make the graphs difficult to interpret. To overcome this, either exclude condoms from your analysis (select ‘All methods except condoms’) or look at the shipment quantities represented as CYPs.
