Transportation

Airport

From Brussels Airport it takes less than 20 minutes to travel into Central Brussels. Direct trains run every 15 minutes in both directions.

Brussels South Charleroi Airport is easily accessible to or from any Belgian station. If you select "Charleroi South Airport" as the departure or destination station, you will receive a combined Train + Bus ticket. With this ticket you can travel to Charleroi-South station by train, then take one of the many buses on Line A, which provides a direct link between the station and the airport terminal and takes just a few minutes. Public Transport

Most public transport in the Brussels-Capital Region is organized by the STIB (Société des Transports Intercommunaux Bruxellois). The network includes metro lines, which connect the eastern and western districts of the city. Pre-metro lines (trams in tunnels) complete the metro service. Many metro lines also have above ground bus and tram connections.

Rent a bike

Villo! is very useful for riding short distances in Brussels, in an ecological way. Villo! is about 360 stations distributed in 19 Brussels municipalities, that’s about 5.000 bikes at your disposal 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. You can buy a short term ticket (1 or 7 days) with your bank card at one of the Villo! terminals that are equipped with a card reader.

Taxi

Three elements make up the price of a taxi ride: The price per km (1,66 € or 2,70 € depending on whether the journey is inside or outside the 19 districts of Brussels); fixed charge: 2,40 € (4,40 € at night); the waiting time: 30,00 € per hour; certain companies charge reduced fares for journeys to the airport.

Registration/Badges

All participants and official guests are requested to wear their name badge during all events. Admission to the sessions is restricted to registered participants wearing their name badge.

Your badge will be handed out at the registration desk at the Radisson Blu Royal.

Registration opening hours: Monday 19 Mar. – Thursday 22 Mar. from 09:00 – 17:00

Language

Simultaneous interpretation in French-English and English-French will be provided during the plenary meeting (Wednesday-Thursday). Other meetings will be conducted in English unless specifically indicated, please refer to our agenda.

Catering

Refreshments will be provided for you throughout the conference.  Coffee breaks and lunch will be served in the foyers of the meeting rooms.

Insurance and Liability

It is highly recommended that all participants carry adequate individual travel and health insurance, as RHSC/PATH and/or its agents cannot accept liability for accidents, illnesses or injuries that may occur at or during the meetings.

Mobile Phones

As a courtesy to speakers and other delegates, we request that all mobile phones and pagers are turned off before you enter the meeting venue.

Internet

High-speed and/or wireless Internet access is free of charge for all guests throughout the hotel in the hotel- and meeting rooms.

Emergency

In case of emergencies, or for first-aid service during the conference, please contact the staff at the registration desk or the hotel reception.
