New brief reports on VAN impact in WAHO countries and beyond

The West African Health Organization (WAHO) has a rich track record when it comes to facilitating transfers of products between countries in the region with too much stock to those in need. In recent years, WAHO has conducted 12 successful transfers in response to country requests, using the VAN as the central mechanism for data sharing and collaboration between different government stakeholders, WAHO officials, donors/procurers, and VAN Analysts. This new brief shines a light on how WAHO worked through the VAN to respond to requests from Niger and Nigeria, averting both stockouts and overstocks, and providing an estimated 185,000 couple-years of protection to people in Nigeria.
