100+ register for financing webinar

Global financing mechanisms are currently a hot topic in reproductive health communities, with key events such as the International Conference on Family Planning 2015 dedicating significant time and attention to discussing the changing funding landscape. Sustainable development financing commitments to be agreed this year will guide national government decision-making on wide range of development financing issues from now on. Changes proposed to existing financing arrangements are complex, with both threats and opportunities for reproductive health supplies and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) funding.

With support from the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition (RHSC) Innovation Fund, IPPF is promoting advocacy to help the community better understand and take action for improved and increased funding for RH supplies. More than 100 people registered for a webinar hosted this week by the Coalition, which helped participants understand key advocacy messages, opportunities, challenges and recommendations on how the community can advance RH supplies financing in the changing aid architecture.
