CILT UK Level 3 Transport Manager CPC

The Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for Transport Manager CPC in Passenger Transport or Road Freight is for individuals to obtain the competency requirements for a Transport Manager as required by EU legislation.

Who is the qualification for?

The CPC logistics qualification is for individuals who want to enter the profession of Transport Manager, or demonstrate their professional competence to meet Operator Licence requirements (Holding a CPC is one of the elements an applicant must satisfy for the Transport Commissioner to grant an ‘O’ Licence).

The qualification comprises of one mandatory unit with the learning outcomes and associated assessment criteria developed from Annex I of Regulation (EC) No. 1071/2009. The unit consists of the following eight elements:

  • Civil Law
  • Commercial Law
  • Social Law
  • Fiscal Law
  • Business and Financial Management of the Undertaking
  • Access to the Market
  • Technical Standards and Technical Aspects of Operation
  • Road Safety

Students must choose between the Passenger Transport or Road Haulage options. Your personal copy of the learning materials will be forwarded to you on receipt from CILT(UK). Responses to knowledge questions will be emailed to LLA for review by your assigned Mentor, who will provide support and guidance throughout.

The CILT Level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence consists of two open book written examinations, each lasting two and a half hours. In order to be awarded the qualification, Learners must achieve a minimum score of 60% on each paper.
