Venezuela: Women on the edge

The purpose of this webinar is to make visible the plight of Venezuelan women due to the lack of food, medicines, ARVs and SRH supplies. Shortages affect women and girls – for every 100 men living in extreme poverty in Venezuela, there are 112 women living in extreme conditions. Lack of menstrual hygiene products is also a major problem and health services have collapsed.

Presenter: Ms Luisa Kislinger is a human rights and women’s rights activist, researcher and writer. Her work is focused on health, sexual and reproductive rights, violence against women and women and the media. A career ex-diplomat, Luisa has worked with international organizations and NGOs, among them UNFPA and ASHOKA. She currently lives and works in Caracas. An internationalist, Luisa holds a Masters Degress in Social Communication.
