In 2025, the Global Family Planning Visibility and Analytics Network (the VAN) demonstrated strength and resilience in the face of unprecedented financial loss and geopolitical pressure. The 2025 VAN Scorecard Report highlights the important collaboration across the VAN team, partner organizations, and the family planning community to ensure women and families receive the products they need, including country governments navigating changes in the funding landscape. Data published in the 2025 VAN Scorecard Report shows an average of 1,343 monthly logins, up 14% compared to September 2023, indicating overall resilience. This continued reliance comes as governments and partners face disruptions such as the loss of family planning technical assistance from GHSC-PSM—the U.S. government–funded global health supply chain technical assistance program that previously supported family planning activities. In the face of a growing trend toward more insular decision-making, many users continue to prioritize the VAN, highlighting its role as an important, reliable data source and space for collaborating with trading partners on data-driven decision-making during times of crisis.
