New menstrual health work initiative launches

The RHSC’s Menstrual Health Supplies Workstream is delighted to announce its partnership with the UN’s Sanitation and Hygiene Fund (SHF) to strengthen menstrual health markets through collective action around improved data visibility, advocacy, transparency, and standards. Work under this initiative will enhance the availability of crucial market data and forge a new proposed set of dedicated Harmonized System (HS) codes for menstrual products, which are currently bundled into the same category as diapers and baby wipes. Other work will include advocacy for global product standards and identifying factors influencing the cost of menstrual products.
