COMPASS report informs priority medical product list and roadmap

The African Union Development Agency AUDA-NEPAD recently published a 24-priority medical product list and an accompanying roadmap for addressing the structural, regulatory, and financial challenges to expanding pharmaceutical manufacturing on the continent. The primary report was developed after an extensive literature review, expert stakeholder consultations, and numerous market analyses. One of the key resources informing the list of essential priority medical products and the roadmap was the Manufacturing Landscape Assessment for Maternal Health Supplies in Sub-Saharan Africa, published under RHSC’s Compass Initiative, a collection of strategies and resources to support post-COVID reproductive health access and preparedness for future crises.
