SECONAF leverages resources and global connections
6th June 2014
In April, SECONAF and the Mali Directorate of Pharmacy and Medicines hosted a meeting of the national contraceptive security committee (CSC). Still feeling the effects of the country’s recent political turmoil, the committee, has suffered from both weak supplies data and limited human resources. The aim of this event, therefore, was to inform the design of a proposed SECONAF initiative to strengthen CSCs in countries where commodity security remains weak and where few viable alternatives exist to support them. Potential interventions include enhanced data reporting into the PPMR and local leadership under the Coalition’s new initiative, Fulfilling Promises.
