World Bank issues RFP for Minimum Volume/Pledge Guarantee

9th January 2008

In November 2007, the World Bank called for Expressions of Interest (EOI) to design a proof-of-concept of the Minimum Volume Guarantee/Pledge Guarantee (MVG/PG) mechanism. This was followed in December with a formal Request for Proposals (RFP). Five prequalified companies have been invited to submit proposals, and their offers are scheduled to be evaluated by the end of January.

The Secretariat is coordinating the implementation of the design study, assisted by David Smith and Morten Sorensen (United Nations Population Fund), Sangeeta Raja (World Bank), Sandra Rolet (KfW consultant), and a technical expert from USAID | DELIVER. For more information on the MVG/PG, contact the Secretariat.
