Blog: Let's reward the use of maternal health supplies
16th April 2015
"As far as maternal health supplies go," writes Milka Dinev, the Coalition's Regional Advisor for the LAC region, "it is easy for groups to forget the role of the three key life-saving commodities and therefore fail to prioritize their presence in health facilities 100% of the time."
Ms. Dinev, who is also the Coalition focal point for the Maternal Health Supplies Caucus, argues that services — with their immediate human element — generally make for better story-telling while the subject of supplies often carries rather sterile connotations of warehouses, supply chains, and transportation. The blog appears in full here.
The blog series “Increasing access to maternal and reproductive health supplies: Leveraging lessons learned in preventing maternal mortality,” is hosted by Harvard University’s Maternal Health Task Force, the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition's Maternal Health Supplies Caucus, Family Care International, and Jhpiego’s Accelovate Program.
