Research Master in Business: Management - Information and Supply Chain track

Research (RM/PhD) in the Information and Supply Chain Management (ISCM) track covers two main areas: Management Information Systems (MIS) and Supply Chain Management (SCM). In a nutshell MIS examines the management of people and technology in business. SCM concerns typically the management of the flow of goods and services in industries and in the public sectors.

Our researchers have a wide range of research interests covering topics such as digital transformation, networked organization, information flows, computational social systems, data sciences, cyber security, virtual/augmented reality, smart contracts/blockchain, ecosystem evolution, outsourcing, performance-based contracting, sustainability/sustainable SCM, healthcare operations, buyer-supplier relationships, interorganizational supply chains and networks, sociomaterial impacts of technlogies usage, IT-related overload, principles of automation in decision-making or IT governance. This none-exhaustive list of research topics demonstrates the dynamism of the Information Supply Chain Management (ISCM) research group.

Most of our research is conducted in close relationship with companies, industries as well as governmental institutions. Our researchers’ work has been published in journals such as the Management Information System Quarterly (MISQ), Information & Management, Decision Support System, Information Systems, Industrial Marketing Management, International Journal of Operations & Production Management, Journal of the Association of Information System, Journal of Supply Chain Management to name only a few.
