CGA2018: What Next?
8th June 2018
Demand for contraceptive supplies is growing, but donor financing for supplies appears certain to decline. Ensuring access to supplies depends on making the most of existing resource bases and RHSC’s latest Global Contraceptive Commodity Gap Analysis (CGA2018) provides new evidence to help inform these strategies. CGA2018 uses multiple sources of data to improve our understanding of how much is currently spent on supplies, how the volume and cost of the supplies consumed by users will change between now and 2020, and the different roles of donors, governments, and the private sector.
The Mind the Gap series of webinars have been designed to walk you through CGA2018, kicking off with a general overview of data and analysis on Tuesday, 26 June. This will be followed by a closer look at countries in the Latin American region (Tuesday, 10 July) and ways the CGA2018 findings can be used by advocates (TBA).
