The Global Contraceptive Commodity Gap Analysis 2016

31/05/2017

An unprecedented number of women living in the 69 FP2020 focus countries rely on modern methods of contraception – and the number is growing. Tragically, funding for contraceptive supplies is already insufficient, and the funding gap threatens to grow. If current trends continue, in 2020 alone, contraceptive users will require supplies worth $1.055 billion at today’s prices. This is $233 million more than the total annual amount currently spent on supplies.

RHSC’s groundbreaking new report, the Global Contraceptive Commodity Gap Analysis 2016, provides donors, decision-makers, manufacturers, and advocates with insights into critical dimensions of contraceptive supply security. This webinar will present key findings from the CGA 2016 report and outline the methodologies used to produce them.
