Course objective

Phase I: demonstrate understanding of the principles of world class supply chain management; identify gaps between their organizations’ processesand world class processes; demonstrate both teamwork and team leadership skills; plan for and conduct negotiations successfully and ethically; and apply project management practices to “real world” problems. Phase II: demonstrate mastery of the principles of world class supply chain management; demonstrate success as an ethical leader in supply chain management; develop suppliers to be high performance contributors to their common supply chain; be agents of successful, ethical change, through planning and implementation; and be able to successfully deal with uncertainty in the management of supply chains.

Minimum of two years of work experience in a supply chain management-related capacity, Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, Satisfactory GMAT score is required for application to the Master of Science in Supply Chain Management program. The GMAT score may be waived with years of experience. College or university transcripts, Two recommendations (only one recommendation is required for the Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management program), Statement of Purpose, Current resume, $80 application fee.

This 36-unit program consists of two phases. Phase I is the Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management (GC -SC M). Students have the option of completing Phase I only, and receiving a Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management. Upon successful completion of Phase I (GPA 3.0 or higher), students may matriculate into Phase II, going on to complete the Master of Science in Supply Chain Management (MS-SC M).

International students who possess an L-1 (business) visa may be admitted to the GC-SCM or the MS-SCM programs. In addition, international students living abroad may be admitted to the programs if they can commit to attending all required on-campus sessions. A B1/B2 visa may be obtained for these visits. This limitation is due to rules and regulations of the US Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (BCIS) regarding online and distance education.
