With Round 1 Innovation Fund support, John Snow, Inc. is completing a comprehensive inventory of English- French-, and Spanish-language professional development training programs for public-sector supply chain managers in developing countries.

Objectives:

  • To  research, analyze and report accredited and non-accredited programs for health commodity supply chain managers in developing countries, focused on or relevant to the public sector, and identifying gaps in technical skills areas covered among currently available options
  • To survey public health and NGO-sector logisticians to determine areas of greatest felt need, cross-compare with current offerings, and identify resulting gaps
  • To produce a list of recommendations for Coalition partners and/or the Secretariat based upon the findings of the study

Activities taking place under this project will include researching and compiling an inventory of relevant courses, conducting a gap analysis, and compiling a final report including recommendations. The primary output of this eight-month project will be a searchable database of training programs for  supply chain managers.
