Asociación Benéfica PRISMA (PRISMA), with support from Round 7 of the Innovation Fund, will build the capacity of procurement staff in the Latin America/Caribbean (LAC) region to ensure they are effectively procuring RH commodities.

Objectives:

  • To provide a tool adapted to the Latin American/Caribbean context to strengthen the procurement process for reproductive health supplies.
  • To strengthen the capacity and competencies of key stakeholders and decision makers leading to improved procurement processes for RH supplies in LAC.

Activities under this project will include the translation of the Procurement Capacity Toolkit developed by PATH into Spanish and contextualizing it to the LAC context. PRISMA will then use the translated Toolkit as the basis for the development and implementation of a training course for cooperating agencies, government officials, and personnel linked to the procurement process in the region. The primary outcome of this eight-month project will be strengthened procurement processes for RH commodities in LAC.
