Passing of a champion

The Coalition expresses its sadness at the untimely death of Terri Bartlett who was, for many years, a champion of reproductive health and the need to safeguard access to the supplies on which good reproductive health depends.  She successfully played a key role in bringing people together for the 2001 Istanbul Conference, "Meeting the Supply Challenge", which led to the formation of both the Supplies Initiative and Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition. She went on to lead the Coalition's Working Group on Resources Mobilization and Awareness and to serve on the Coalition's Executive Committee.

Over the past year, Terri was active within Project RMA, and in the formulation of the ongoing Global Advocacy Strategy. Terri will be sadly missed by many dear friends and colleagues in the Coalition. Her untimely death leaves an irreplaceable gap in the knowledge, passion and voice she lent to the reproductive health supplies field.

Coalition member PAI has created a "Remembering Terri Bartlett" group on Facebook for people to join to share photos and stories, as well as invite other friends to join. PAI will also use this page as one source of information on a Washington DC memorial that is being planned.
