Concept Foundation introduces Medabon®

1st September 2009

Improving access to safe abortion services remains a public health imperative. A new product, Medabon®, is being made available through Concept Foundation, an international nongovernmental organization based in Bangkok, Thailand, to provide women with a more affordable and convenient option for medical abortion. Concept is working to register and introduce Medabon® in nearly 30 lower- and middle-income countries in the next two years.

Developed with support from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, Medabon® for Medical Abortion: Resource Materials for Health Care Providers and Program Managers includes:

We hope that you will find these materials useful in your work. They can be downloaded at, and printed copies can be requested by contacting the Concept Foundation at
