Seventeenth Meeting, Seattle 2016

RH Supplies Paramount to Reaching 120M

The reproductive health community stands at a crossroads. An ambitious objective was agreed to at the 2012 London Summit on Family Planning: 120 million additional women would be reached by 2020. Despite our collective efforts and the substantial progress to date, we must now re-examine methods and redouble our efforts if we are to reach this goal. Much more than just numbers, these women and their families depend on us and hope we will deliver, but they are growing impatient.

They need – and have the right to – a full range of quality reproductive health supplies available on the shelves in the clinics, pharmacies and hospitals, or in the hands of community health workers where they live. How can we, as a community, ensure they do? Now is the time to come together, to look at what is working and what is not, to think creatively about solutions, and to agree a way forward.

At the Westin Hotel in Seattle, USA, from 10-14 October 2016, the 17th General Membership Meeting of the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition will focus squarely on answering these questions and discussing solutions. We can, and will, get quality RH supplies into the hands of these women if we work together. Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to the conversation at this pivotal moment.
