Meeting the Challenge of a New Decade, the multimedia presentation that kicked off last June’s Access for All conference, is now available on CD in English and French. Produced by the Population Reference Bureau, the video highlights a decade of success in achieving reproductive health commodity security. By combining Flash video, Trendalyzer data, photo stills, and narrative, the presentation explores the legacy of the original 2001 Istanbul conference, Meeting the Challenge, which many credit as having launched the modern supplies movement. It describes the convergence of the advocacy and technical communities, and documents the dramatic impact of that convergence in taking “supply chain management…from the back room to the board room.”

In looking to the future, the presentation also highlights many of the challenges that lay ahead. It explores the critical roles to be played by government, the private sector, and civil society. And for the first time, it costs out what it will take to reach 100 million additional users of modern contraception by 2015—the aim of the Coalition’s HANDtoHAND Campaign. Whether you attended Access for All or not, don’t miss seeing this inspiring account of a truly remarkable decade in reproductive health.
